I've been tinkering with it for a few days now, and think everything is working as it should. I did notice on 12/26 they posted some HDMI drivers, and after applying those, 3D still does not work on the HDMI 2.0 port.

My settings are as follows (and using the True3d DP > HDMI 2.0 adapter):

Intel HD Settings following the first post guide, resolution set to 1920 x 1080 @ 60 hz.

Kodi settings match the guide in first post as well.

Results:

This is a 3d mvc iso.
Image

This is a 4k @ 60fps sample video
Image

This is a 4k movie @ 24fps
Image

This is a 1080 movie, I do not understand why my TV is saying the source is 4096x2160. This is the only one not working as expected, as to why or if this is truly a problem, I do not know.
Image

All of this would also work on the HDMI port above the display port, besides the 4k movie @ 60fps.
How do you get that info to show on the screen like that?

Sent from my HTC 10 (typie typie)
Press "o" within Kodi for the black box with the media info. The top bar is the info button on my TV remote, it shows the source resolution.

What adapter do you use exactly? Is it the club 3D adapter?
Is there a way to get kodi to play 1080p movies with 1080p instead upscaling it to 2160p.

I also tried https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01B6Z...UTF8&psc=1

but this one was acting odd, when the line flexed the image flickered, so i will be returning that one

Have you try connecting straight to the HDMI 1.4 port?

Everything works exactly the same, except 4k @ 60 hz does not work, I believe my TV showed that media playing @ 1080 @ 60hz

The question is why a 1080p movie is upscaled to 2160p?

I have the same DP adapter at home and will try this at the weekend as well when I'm back from vacation.

My desktop resolution was set to 1920*1080 @ 60hz when those result images were taken. Also I followed the setup pictures exactly.

So how is your Samsung TV displaying 3820X2160p, it's your TV 4K?

Kodi swaps resolutions doesn't it? It's just not swapping correctly in this case. Yes my TV is 4k/3d

If you set Kodi Refresh Rate to On Start/Stop it changes the resolution to the format of the file that you're playing, which is a good thing, you don't 3820X2160p file playing 1920X1080Huh

I also notice that once you stop playing 3820X2160p your display driver will pop a notification on the (Samsung SUHD TV) bottom right of the screen.

That's the one I ordered (and is on its way), because it outputs HDMI 2.0a with the eye on future HDR support, and the Club 3D doesn't (or does it?).

Thats how it should work, and it does for everything except not 4k content. Is it hurting anything by my TV thinking the feed is 4k when its 1080? It looks fine, I could just be being picky.
