Win Intel HTPCs/NUCs & Kodi-native 3D MVC Playback
Hate this, but i have to reinstall again
Tested nuc dn2820 with september build and again, i have problems..
Reverting back to december build, allproblems are gone..
Hate it cause that build is a beta version and some skins dont work there...
Am i the only one with dn2820?

Really fed up with kodi and 3d.. This on this damn slow nuc, zidoo x9s has issues..

Yes, everybody, because Intel has still problem with 3D if a HDMI 2.0
Videooutput is used. 3D with Intel only works with HDMI 1.4.

Hi long time reader, first time poster

Just a quick question: on page one of the thread the download link for the newest Version of the mvc build is it broken ? or is it just me? also the banner which led to the list for hardware suggestions is no longer working? Same in the zidoo thread ?
Tried both with different browsers (chrome, firefox) and differents OS (Windows, Android)..... ?
But thank you very much for this good thread, it is helping me for years to keep home cinema working like a charme ... thanks hdmkv

Hello guys, I'm using the settings from 1st post with BeeBox 7200u and 3D works perfect. But, what about 4k?
May I have to switch Kodi to 2160p every time I need to watch 4k contents? This will be very annoyng. Is there a way to tech Kodi to switch resolution for 4k videos?

@35mm, download link for latest build updated in post #1. The builds roll off, so I end up hosting on Google Drive until @afedchin posts next build. The recommended h/w Google Sheets is fixed. It's missing some of the newer Apollo Lake & Kaby Lake options, but if users chime in with what's working, I'll add to sheet.

I know this post is related to Intel but is there any solution to use AMD CPU and Kodi MVC ? I've read on the first post nVidia can be used but I don't see any AMD element. Thank you Wink

Glad I found this thread. I could finally watch my MVC 3D content on my Windows 10 machine with a Nvidia GPU on my LG OLED TV! It really looks so much better than SBS content so many thanks everyone involved keeping this information up to date!

Tested with this build 18-September-2017 Windows MVC build
and added This file (libmfx32)  as instructed Smile

If only Intel delivered on their promise I too could be enjoying MVC 3D on my OLED!  Good on NVIDIA.

Huh? This thread is about Intel; see post #1. You'll be able to play MVC 3D MKV's & ISO's in full, frame-packed glory with compatible Intel h/w & @afedchin's special Kodi fork.

@afedchin, hoping you'll have a final version of your fork based off 17.6 soon. And, as you had mentioned before you weren't sure if you'd continue support w/18, have you decided? Hope it's a yes! Smile

My other Windows system is a NUC54250wyk - the fan is not horribly annoying but it does kick on now & again
I just recently switched that over to Win 10 Pro - had been running LinuxMint on it until recently but it crashed severely - twice - while installing updates to 18.2 after the initial upgrade (which itself had gone ok) - had to reinstall completely from scratch again
After second time, went route similar to you & switched to Windows Pro with a low-cost license
I've been playing around with some Android systems - my BeeLink Mini MXiii ii (with dual-boot LibreElec) is actually the best out of three, vs MiBox and MeCoolM82Pro
Even the Android Kodi works well enough for most stuff on the station where I use it (1080, no external sound).
- Android boxes are limited for me as I use a Browser-based subscription (Flash) streamer for my Sports Team and although Android works with it for stored videos, the Live Games will not work on Android platforms.
After screwing around with Android boxes, just ready to return to Intel based platform - although I'll keep my Beelink box as my 'third' unit in my work-out room.
Have to say this Beelink box looks excellent value at the price.
Take the NUC5450wyk apart, I have had mine since launch, and with 2 dogs, popcorn ceilings, and around my HT wall, it gets full of dust, One morning woke up and it was whining very high pitched, Turns out it was almost completely blocked. Took the main board out and the heatsink is on the bottom side, Watch all the SATA connectors, and usb and such. They are short leads. Plan and you will be successful. It runs like new. 3D looks like nothing I have ever seen on a 77 oled as well off this box. I am sitting tight and waiting for the 8th gen boxes to see if they work out the HDMI issues with 2.0 vs. 1.4. It doesnt appear they give a shit about the 6th and 7th gen boxes. Personally if I have to run everything 4K / HDR on the shield and all 3D on a 4th or 5th gen NUC, I am ok with that.   Those heatsink fins will be nasty as well as the fan. Sold your problem easily this way

 No!

3D MVC is only supported on Windows X86/X64 but with Intel NUC 7th Generation 3D MVC will not work because of the HDMI 2.0
