@Jcnc1996, I don't think you found a bug, you found a local problem maybe? Nothing wrong with the output of the HD-Audio streams and yes, I tested this with a 7th generation Intel setup.
So you should look at your setup and Kodi 18 MVC configuration (settings)?

The i5-3550S is 7th gen? It can be hard to figure all these numbers and working names out at times.

The MB has HDMI 1.4 or 2.0?

4K playback with full HDR?

Lossless audio passthrough with working Dolby Atmos and dts:X?

Thanks again for working this through!
It's a 3rd generation (3550S) CPU. So only HDMI 1.4, no 4K, no HDR. Passthrough works fine for HD audio types.
Cheers man! Thanks for putting up the info and doing this work. Beyond my scope of ability at this time.

If anyone testing isable to with HDMI 2.0 and 4K HDR (as well as working MVC 3D and all audio passthrough) that info would be fantastic to.

This is excellent news that the 3D MVC version is being updated to Kodi 18. I have a question about the problem with Windows 10 after version 1709 that video is just black in full-screen mode. This happens for both the normal KODI version and for the special MCV build. It is described here:  https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=322761
I am struggling with keeping Windows at version 1703. Can anybody confirm that KODI 18 MVC build + Window 10 v1809 + fullscreen is working? No more black screen?

Cheers from Sweden!!!

I am on 1809 here (fresh installation) and don't have that problem.

@hdmkv If I knew which hardware (chipset?) supports a "pure" HDMI 2.0 port, I could upgrade to such a device (barebone FYI).

@afedchin, any idea?

what about? Kodi uses d3d11 API to output in stereo, d3d11 forward api calls to a driver. if driver can't output s3d via DP->HDMI bridge we can change nothing with it

I thought you knew of some new piece of hardware that doesn't use the Lspcon solution for video output to a HDMI 2.0 port, but I misunderstood this apparently. No problem, I can work just fine with what we have now Smile

Thanks @afedchin & @Morpog for getting the MVC build updated to Kodi 18, seems to work fine (so far) on my Beelink AP34.  I have had to adjust the screen res settings to play 4K videos fullscreen, as they were playing in the top left corner.

seems it's because nvidia has no refresh rate matched to 23.976 exactly

@Jcnc1996, as you can see in my signature, I use the same Intel iGP and don't have the issue with the HD audio formats.

2 questions. Your sig says you are using HDMI 1.4 for audio but HDMI 2.0 for 4K and 3D? Is that correct? And if so, why a different HDMI for audio?

Second, I am trying to set-up an Optiplex360 (older workstation style PC I got from a friend) and can't get RealTek HD Audio to install. The Windows driver won't do lossless audio passthrough. Does the windows driver you are using do passthrough fully?
