Zap2xml for ATSC in OpenELEC
i am not sure if i am giving you everything.  I ran the epg again and here is the kodi  log

https://pastebin.com/GufhBNJj

here is the zap2epg log around the same time.

@hagertyoh Not sure what the problem is - the zap2epg log shows that it completed the download and generated an xmltv.xml file with 31 stations and 13,361 episodes.  And I don't see any issues in the kodi log.

Code:
2018/01/19 21:21:48 zap2epg completed in 1222.51 seconds.
2018/01/19 21:21:48 31 Stations and 13361 Episodes written to xmltv.xml file.

What exactly is the issue you are having?

When running the setup and selecting the country, zip. The correct lineups show but when I select Time Warner Cable - Digital (Findlay) I get the line up for Time Warner Cable - Cable (Findlay). Everything else works and really get no errors

@hagertyoh  Thank you for the clarification.  That led me to the problem,

The 0.7.4 update should contain a fix for your issue.

Was wondering if anyone can help me? I haven't been able to download the schedule for a few weeks. I'm on a fairly recent version of the zap2xml plugin. here is my log file. I have gone back to 1 day of data with no extras in my settings file which usually fixes my problems but not this time.

zap2xml no longer works as zap2it redesigned their website.

You will need to change to zap2epg - and unfortunately it means you have to go into tvheadend and reset your channel epg source once you configure zap2epg.

OK. Things were going so well. And now......

Did what appeared to be a major system update yesterday (along with a system reboot) and no update last night. Just tried again this morning (using a tvh restart) and got the following in the log file:

<!DOCTYPE tv SYSTEM "xmltv.dtd">

<tv source-info-url="http://tvschedule.zap2it.com/" source-info-name="zap2it.com">

That's all that was in the file so my 14 day listing is completely gone.

Is this related to the problem of episodes? Doesn't seem like it. I'll try the latest zap2epg version anyway and see if that helps.

New challenge....Thx....

@stephr1  you need to update zap2epg.  When they made the new site live, they changed a couple of ways the api worked - so please download and update to 0.7.4

https://github.com/edit4ever/script.modu...g/releases

In the future (when kodi 18 is released - at least in alpha) I will get the addon in the kodi repo and then it will update automatically.

Let me know if you have issues after the update.

Thanks!

Maybe it was just coincidence, but I wasn't having any problems until I did the OSMC/Debian system update/upgrade yesterday. If the new zap2it site went live more than 1 or 2 days ago, I haven't seen any issues, so it wasn't clear the new site posed any problems for me. However, as I mentioned in my posting above (and per your suggestion), I will update to the latest zap2epg and see if it fixes things. If not, "I'll be Bach!" Smile Actually, I'll report back anyways.

Thx....and cheers....

OK. Did the upgrade. Same problems.

I noticed in the log file that zap2epg is trying to access:

http://tvlistings.gracenote.com/api/grid...f=-&userId=-

I assume this is correct.

Is there a setting in 0.7.4 that I need to change (back)? I'm also wondering if there was some kind of network/firewall change that came with the new update and that has affected zap2epg getting out. Tho, I can both ping into and access websites from within OSMC/Debian. I'll go back and do some more thorough checking.

Thx and cheers....

@stephr1  try going into the add-on and reselecting your location/lineup. You shouldn't have to change anything else, but that might need to be updated.

Update (1/23/18.1)

Just tried to do another apt-get update and got a number of "Could not resolve"/"Failed to fetch" msgs. Must be some sort of access/DNS error. Ugh!

Something in the recent update may have messed things up. I can't seem to do any configuration of zap2epg to work. I went back to 0.6.3 and that didn't change things. I've done a couple of system reboots hoping that would help. Nope. I also reset zap2epg and while that (the reset) worked, I now can't reconfigure my channels. Sad

Here's what the log file looks like one might expect without any channel configuration, but the "exception" at the bottom is telling (not sure what, tho):

Not sure if the exception in the log file tells you anything. Maybe I should delete the settings.xml file to clean that up and reinstall 0.7.4. I also need to go back and see if I can redo a successful system update, figure out how to back out of it or figure out what may have changed as a result of the update to cause this problem. It kind of feels like an outgoing access issue, but not quite sure yet Sad

Let me know if anything pops out at you Thx.

@stephr1  yes - I would delete settings.xml (frankly the entire zap2epg userdata folder) and then reconfigure.  Also, for testing - go ahead and set your system to 1 day for now.

After you uninstall the addon, delete the userdata zap2epg folder, reinstall the addon and then go ahead and setup the location and see if you can then configure channels.  If not - please provide the kodi log before proceeding.

Thanks!
