VNSI VDR: list of recordings refreshes every few seconds, makes it hard to use
#1
Hi,

recently I switched from XVDR backend to VNSI to watch VDR live TV and recordings on various KODI instances. Since using VNSI the list of VDR recordings is hard to use: It seems like KODI reloads the list very frequently (every 1-2 seconds), during the refresh KODI doesn't respond reliable to remote control inputs.

The behaviour is identical both on an older OpenELEC Raspi2 installation (KODI 14.x) and an up to date Android TV (KODI 16.0). I used the OpenELEC system with XVDR in the past and had no issues in the list of recordings.

Any hints?

Regards
Ingo

This was a VDR bug: http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=...pid1929320

What version of VDR do you have in use?

I'm using the default packages in Ubuntu 15.10:

vdr 2.0.6-2
vdr-plugin-vnsiserver 1:1.2.0-1

I'll try to update to the versions mentioned in the other thread, thanks!

Took me some time but I finally upgraded to Ubuntu 16.04 which comes with vdr 2.2-0, this fixed the issue. Thanks!
