I'm just curious. Would it be possible to create some type of background service that would keep channels up to date when PTVL isn't running? Literally the only remote annoyance left is the time it takes to get all my channels up and running again when PTVL decides it is time to rebuild them. I know patience is a virtue... I'm just not always endowed with it as much as I should

Isn't the "desktop mode" supposed to continually rebuild channels that are running low as you watch?

Set-top does yes, but I have to get out of PTVL quite often. Sometimes starting it up again triggers a channel rebuild (this is expected behavior if I understand correctly) my hope was that a service could be created that would basically eliminate the channel rebuilding on start because it will have already updated while I was doing something else.
