v17 LibreELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi (Kodi 17.0)
(2016-06-01, 21:04)popel Wrote: LibreELEC:~ # md5sum /storage/.cache/splash.h264 2>/dev/null

LibreELEC:~ # time /usr/bin/hello_video.bin /storage/.cache/splash.h264
Command exited with non-zero status 254

Strange. It's the exact same size as the LE splash video, but it's not the same - your video file is corrupt.

When the video file is downloaded it is written to a temporary file name, then the contents is checked against an md5 hash which should mean it is not possible to download a corrupt video file. The correct hash is:
Code:
rpi22:~ # md5sum /storage/.cache/splash.h264
fad45affade4b2f1eff3080d64f8e75d  /storage/.cache/splash.h264

So I'm not sure where this video file came from, but it's corrupt (or has become corrupt?) in which case delete it and download a new uncorrupted video file:
Code:
rm /storage/.cache/splash.h264
rm -f /storage/.config/splash.disable
systemctl start kodi-splash

Once you see the "Splash video download" successful notification appear in Kodi, reboot to see the splash video on the next boot.

@popcornmix: I've just created a completely bogus video file which seems to "hang" hello_video.bin:
Code:
dd if=/dev/zero of=/storage/corrupt.h264 bs=1M count=1
/usr/bin/hello_video.bin /storage/corrupt.h264
Just an FYI really, as we shouldn't be downloading corrupted video files (in theory), and this is only an experimental feature.
Texture Cache Maintenance Utility: Preload your texture cache for optimal UI performance. Remotely manage media libraries. Purge unused artwork to free up space. Find missing media. Configurable QA check to highlight metadata issues. Aid in diagnosis of library and cache related problems.

There used to be a timeout, but that caused an issue with ntp changing the time during boot so is no longer present.
I suspect there is a "corrupt video" callback which we could act on. I'll look into it at some point.

#0601 dtoverlay=rpi-dac not working for Lucid Labs DAC - no ALSA option for sound output. Works ok on #0531 and earlier.

Only appears to affect dtoverlay=rpi-dac. #0601 dtoverlay=hifiberry-dacplus works fine for hifiberry dacplus.

Report from Moode audio on diyaudio.com suggests may be caused by "rpi-dac overlay not loading pcm1792a driver for Soekris DAC, RPi-DAC"
HifiBerry Digi + is not affected and works fine.

Can you report output of:
Code:
dmesg
lsmod
aplay -l
vcdbg log msg
from #0531 and #0601. I can't immediately see what would have broken this.

Stupid me. Kore can now suspend and wake.

@millhouse, @popcornmix. Thx again for all support and patience.

What still puzzles me (besides the new skin/default/settings), I indeed disabled `Allow remote control from applications on other systems (with EventServer/UDP apparently)` in beginning of May, but Kore app remained working, so I forgot about.

So you can can control Kodi from an app on a remote machine without credentials, when `Allow remote control from applications on other systems` is disabled and when webserverservice (e.g. Allow remote control from applications on other systems with JSON/WS/TCP) is configured with credentials. The webclient doesn't need credentials either. ip:port is enough in a browser. That is weird.
FYI, to suspend the PI from a remote Linux machine by CLI:
Code:
echo '{"jsonrpc": "2.0", "method": "System.Suspend", "id":1}' > /dev/tcp/libreelec.local/9090
Hail the Unix principle.

Thanks. Does copying /flash/overlays/rpi-dac.dtbo from #0531 to #0601 make it work?
I can't see the tv groups from the channel list, using enigma2 tv plugin - is this a known bug?

running kodi 17 with the latest build 01-06-2016
@notoriouskp: Not a known issue. Has it ever worked? What is the last working build.
