v17 LibreELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi (Kodi 17.0)
It seems to simply reboot with version 0725 every time. I have been placing it in the update folder as I have always done on my windows network.Thank you for your reply.

Not sure why you quoted your other post (which I assume is now resolved?) as it doesn't seem relevant to your upgrade issue.

So what happens when you reboot - does the system detect the new tar file? If not, are you copying the tar file into the .update directory (note the leading . when accessing the folder in ssh)? How are you copying it - could it be that it doesn't have the .tar extension?

After you copy the new tar file but before you reboot, run the following and paste the results:
Code:
ls -la /storage/.update 2>&1 | pastebinit
Assuming you've copied the file correctly, reboot and describe exactly what happens when the Pi restarts (a video would be nice!)

(2016-08-14, 02:30)nb2a Wrote: Is there a Settings addon available? It was so much better when the addon that did the upgrades worked but it seems that one is not being updated anymore.

Thanks again

Yes it's now built-in - access it via the LibreELEC Settings add-on. See the first post, note #7 for configuration details. If it's not working post a debug log.

Then you're copying it into the wrong folder, or copying the wrong file - hundreds of other users are upgrading without any problem.

Since you haven't provided the information I asked for I can't help any further.

I'm having some buffering/stuttering problems on some files. Don't know if the Pi3 is not powerful enough, or if there is something wrong with my setup.

If anyone can see something in my log and give me a hint on what could be wrong I would appreciate it.

The format of the file is fine and you data is arriving over network okay (buffers fill up and remain full).
There are a few PVR/EPG messages while playing like:
Code:

Is it any better with live tv disabled?
If not a sample would be useful (e.g. use makemkv or similar to produce a two minute sample) and upload somewhere (e.g. dropbox/google drive) and I'll test it here.

Thank you. I will try and disable LiveTV and see if that helps.
Haven't tried to figure out if the buffering/stuttering is happening at the same time every time, but will find out and make a sample if it is.

If I use an OS mounted volume with

Then I don't get the errors. Just using a normal NFS connection in Kodi and I get the errors and missing images. This is connecting to a Mac running El Capitan. I'll do some more testing. I've gone back through the builds and noticed the errors also on v16 but not as bad.
Hallo good folks! I really wanted to thank you for all your efforts and say keep going like this you're the BOMB Wink

Well, with every new post comes a question. Here is mine:

I use (for my video collection) a central mysql database on my Synology. My advancedsettings MYSQL Section looks like this:

<advancedsettings>
<videodatabase>
<type>mysql</type>
<host>IP Address</host>
<port>3306</port>
<user>kodi</user>
<pass>kodi</pass>
</videodatabase>
<musicdatabase>
<type>mysql</type>
<host>IP Address</host>
<port>3306</port>
<user>kodi</user>
<pass>kodi</pass>
</musicdatabase>
<videolibrary>
<importwatchedstate>true</importwatchedstate>
<importresumepoint>true</importresumepoint>
</videolibrary>
</advancedsettings>

the funny thing is that it doesnt work. The Database cant be read with the Build #0813. Nothing appears and happens.
I used the Build #0701 and it worked perfectly.

What could possibly fix the problem?

p.s.: i'am sorry for my bad english Smile AND THANK YOU ONCE AGAIN Smile

Nobody cares about your LAN IP address - obfuscating it just makes it that bit more difficult to help you.

MySQL works in #0813, I'm using it here.

There is a Video database migration in #0720, perhaps the migration failed when you upgraded from #0701 to #0813.

Do the following:

1. Enable debug logging in Kodi #0813
2. Drop the MyVideos107 database from your MySQL server
3. Restart Kodi #0813 and allow it to finish the database migration (it will migrate your MyVideos106 database)

Once the Kodi GUI appears if you still have database issues log in to Kodi using ssh and run:
Code:
cat /storage/.kodi/temp/kodi.log | pastebinit
then post the url.
Texture Cache Maintenance Utility: Preload your texture cache for optimal UI performance. Remotely manage media libraries. Purge unused artwork to free up space. Find missing media. Configurable QA check to highlight metadata issues. Aid in diagnosis of library and cache related problems.
Any ideas about this?
(2016-08-10, 18:22)thent Wrote: Hello,
since long time ago - unfortunately I cannot tell since which build exactly, but at least the beginning of this year - I've been experiencing kodi crashes (+ subsequent rebooting) when opening audio streams. I'm using the radiotunes addon together with Yatse from several Android devices to run the streams. Usually, when kodi was idle for hours, it crashes immediately after opening a second stream righter after the first one.
Here are two debug logs, which should capture a freshly booted milhouse libreelec build #0806 on a RPi2 including the crash right after the reboot:

kodi.old.log http://pastebin.com/DVedCaYn

kodi_crashlog_20160810180958.log http://pastebin.com/4FBzUrqu

If you need any further infos just ask. Hope someone can fix this (if it's related to libreelec at all). Thanks a lot!

Yes. I flagged it on the Kodi Slack, and the problem has been identified
Quote:ouch, that's a std:Confusedhared_ptr<CFileItem> afaik so just about any nasty thing can have happened to it
like passing it by reference which doesn't up the usage count and then another thread changes the currently playing file deleting the one we passed by reference

I'm hoping someone who knows this code better will come up with a fix.

There is a Video database migration in #0720, perhaps the migration failed when you upgraded from #0701 to #0813.

I've followed the steps above and now it works perfectly! it really was the migration which didnt work

Thank you once again!!!

These are good news, thank you very much!
I am using the 08 August nightly. Everything works nicely so far.
However I am missing the Options for the CEC Adapter? I searched in all menus but could not find anything? Is it not included or am I missing something?
