v17 LibreELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi (Kodi 17.0)

172F is about 78C, which is within limits but may be causing the ARM to throttle (reduce frequency). Not ideal, and a small heatsink would help (or a FLIRC case).

(2016-11-17, 04:39)bill_orange Wrote: This started with build #1114.

Did anything else change, such as your skin, perhaps?

When you are running the scan, is there any text that is constantly scrolling (as this can send the GPU temperature through the roof)?

In #1114 there is a firmware and kernel update, maybe this causes the GPU to run a little hotter than usual.

Yes. the progress scan is scrolling. I have some small heat sinks I can attach.

Thanks

Not without a log, preferably a debug log.

Hi, find attached a collection of log files - these are from two Raspberry PI, both running KODI 17 Beta 5 with the same basic configuration (Built from the same configuration backup). They are named PI_ATTIC & PI_LIVINGROOM respectively and both exhibit exactly the same behaviour:

After the TV is turned off at ~23:30 and turned back on in the morning (about 7 hours not being used overnight), I navigate to TV, select BBC1 from the channel list and click select to switch to that channel. The spinning timer appears and the TV channel never switches. (I notice that the onscreen Debug information is still happily updating on screen at top left)

Here are the log files for PI_ATTIC taken after I navigated to TV and selected from the channel list BBC 1
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/1448..._attic.zip

For PI_LIVINGROOM, I have two versions of the log files for you...
One set taken before the TV freeze:
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/1448..._attic.zip

One set taken after the TV freeze:
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/1448...m_post.zip

I tried last night waiting various lengths of time, I am up to 2 hours now with the TV off (PI running) and the error doesn't manifest itself, today, I'll be increasing to 3 hours, 4 hours etc until I find out how long it takes for this failure to manifest itself.

I also tried yesterday turning off the wifi connection and turning it back on again before trying to change TV channels, with this action taken, the first time TV channel change after overnight "sleep" had no problems.

I've uploaded a new debug-enabled build #1118x which includes the rtmp fix from last night's build, just in case the channel change crash only happens once the first bug is fixed! RPi2 - can you upload a crashlog from build #1118x, thanks.

here is crashlog with updated build http://sprunge.us/XaZP
the crash is now in core and not in the add-on. it unconditionally derefs a nullptr for the player. this code is broken. DVDInputStreamPVRManager will call CloseAndOpen(). In Close() the m_pPlayer pointer is nulled. Guess what happens in Open() which is called right after it.

Just checked #1118 with pvr.filmon enabled and stopping and switching between channels is working fine now.

yes its is.. only thing i have missing is epg data, which i believe used to show up before.. do you have epg for filmon channels?

Agreed epg data is now missing, where as far as I can recall it was working fine prior to recent filmon api changes. Initial pvr.filmon channel loading/re-loading faster now Wink

Hi,
Since build #1115 I've have an issue with pvr recordings.

In Kodi I have grouping turned on for pvr recordings. Since build #1115 all records in sub,sub-folders/groups disappears.

For series I create a chanel folder and seriesname as subfolder of channel. So I got a folder structure for example like this '[Chanelname]/[Seriesname]/[Episode.mkv]'. But since #1115 i don't see any series folder/group in Kodi.

When I disable grouping in Kodi I see all recordings.

May be "[PVR] Fix recordings url encoding. (PR:10930, 2 commits, 5 files changed)" or "Json fixes (PR:10927, 2 commits, 4 files changed)" is affecting this issue.

As PVR backend i'm on Tvheadend 4.1-2322~g879d532

May be some one can investigate this behavior?
