v17 LibreELEC Testbuilds for x86_64 (Kodi 17.0)

b) For a test set the refreshrate to 24.0 hz in kodi and disable adjust refreshrate, then play the movie. For longterm, yes: advancedsettings.xml

Fritsch,

a) At 60 Hz, I have also video stutter. It's better than 24Hz but it's not perfect
b) I tried this test. I switch kodi to 24Hz mode ( in setting) and I play a movie with or without adjust refreshrate and with or without sync playback. Result is the same : Video Stutter ;(

I know that SNB hardware is not perfect with 24hz movie but it works very well with OE 6.0.3 or Kodibuntu.

Fritsch, do you see another bug in logfile ? Milhouse, can you help us to this issue.

Thx.
@polarrys not really, as fritsch is the expert.
Texture Cache Maintenance Utility: Preload your texture cache for optimal UI performance. Remotely manage media libraries. Purge unused artwork to free up space. Find missing media. Configurable QA check to highlight metadata issues. Aid in diagnosis of library and cache related problems.
I hope it's not a big issue. I don't want to switch to KodiBuntu. I really like Librelec

I'm guessing that was fixed by the 8-bit color Intel driver patch. When Intel is running the pipeline at 12-bit (as in all recent kernels) and using [email protected] refresh (as for your 29.976 video), the pixel or audio clock is screwed up somehow causing frame skipping. I saw the same thing here. When you disable pass-through, I think the audio is resampled to compensate so it's less obvious. Hopefully it's not a hardware limitation and they can figure out how to get deep color modes working correctly for future playback of 10-bit video.
(2016-08-28, 11:21)fritsch Wrote: You can "misuse" ActiveAE for measuring it. Basically turn off Sync Playback to Display and see how often the clock gets corrected. Btw. chris pushed the original hdmi-audio tree, which is now building fine.

Finally had some time to look at this again. Where is this "hdmi-audio" tree you're referring to? The drm-intel site is a mess with all the different branches and hard to follow.

Possible I guess - we introduced that patch in #0826 but it had a bug that was fixed in #0828.
