v17 LibreELEC Testbuilds for x86_64 (Kodi 17.0)

I read, the new kernel has a lot of audio patches on board. Maybe this will help....

The problem here is, that no one else has your DTS issue. So I am not sure what to do here.
First decide what functions / features you expect from a system. Then decide for the hardware. Don't waste your money on crap.

I'm really not sure, did you also test the OpenELEC builds?

You've said you have working DTS with ci321 with 7.0.2, which is based on the 4.4.x kernel and Kodi 16. All of the builds in this thread are based on Kodi 17, and only the earliest builds are based on 4.4.x. This might mean testing the older OpenELEC builds, as this includes my last Kodi 16 build based on Kodi 16 Beta 3: #1201. If that build has working DTS, then start working forwards through those OpenELEC builds until you no longer have working DTS.

If you've tested those OpenELEC builds already, and none of them are working, then I can't explain that.

I missed your post with screenshot settings - thanks for that. I assume you have "Player > Sync playback to display" disabled?

Assuming it's not a build related issue, maybe it's some sort of EDID issue...?
Texture Cache Maintenance Utility: Preload your texture cache for optimal UI performance. Remotely manage media libraries. Purge unused artwork to free up space. Find missing media. Configurable QA check to highlight metadata issues. Aid in diagnosis of library and cache related problems.
For DTS - edid does not play a role. It's just 48 khz / 2 channel.

It´s crazy in all other builds i have tested every situation.
Only in #1015 i left Player > Sync playback to display, enabled.

Now with diabled DTS works again.

Thank you very much for your patience.
:-( - just read the description of it, it will tell you, that it disabled PT.

Thanks so much. I didn't expect such a quick turnaround as it was a bit of a self-inflicted problem. Thanks again!
BTW, I noticed after I did the last update (20161016023917) that all my hardware acceleration settings had been turned off. Was that intentional at some point?

In any case, I turned them all back on and even a problematic video I had previously now works well. Great job!
Please use the build codes when discussing releases - 20161016023917 is #1015 (and doesn't include the fix for cross-linked updates).

I wouldn't have expected your acceleration settings to be reset when upgrading from #0925, are you sure they were the only settings to be reset? If guisettings.xml ever becomes corrupted then it will be recreated with default settings.

Update from #1015 to #1016 sets all skin settings to standard, the guisetting remains untouched.

My settings level is set to Expert.

I've just booted into #1014, changed a setting and ensured it was saved (ie. guisettings.xml updated).
I then booted into #1015, settings level is still Expert.
Finally booted into #1016, and the settings level remains Expert, so I'm not able to reproduce here.

(2016-10-17, 08:29)pacoma2610 Wrote: the guisetting remains untouched.

The settings level is stored in guisettings.xml (general > /settinglevel) so if you see the level as Standard in the GUI but your guisettings.xml has a value of 0 (Basic), 2 (Advanced) or 3 (Expert) then there's a problem with the skin, or something is really screwed up.

Are you testing with stock Estuary? If not, then it might be a skin issue (contact your skin maintainer).
