Did you try 4:2:0 on the Samsung that gave you no picture? Some HDMI 2.0 TVs only accept 4:2:0 at 2160/50p and 59.94/60p.
Some people are having HDMI issues with the ASRock boards and Samsung TVs.

Looks like Samsung changed something in the UHD 7000+ series in terms of HDMI
