The area shown in the screenshot cannot be reached by using the keyboard arrow keys.



If I am missing something please excuse the noise. If not, I would consider this a bug and it would be nice if it could be addressed. This is Version 17.0.alpha1 (Git-20160421-18e1df6).

Ok, this is really odd. It seems to work. After playing more with this I have an idea what might have been going on. When pressing down but navigating sideways, a user may land on the left star icon of the bottom row.

Due to the gradient background the contrast when the bottom row (especially the most left icon) is selected is barely visible. The main left sidebar has a nice highlighting to make it clear where the user currently resides with his navigation.

So I strongly suggest to add the same highlighting to the bottom row. Otherwise navigation will be impossible for anybody slightly visual impaired. Also such little contrast changes with no highlighting is fairly bad UX.

Does the report now make a little more sense?

You probably have an outdated Textures.xbt in your skin folder.

Can you elucidate how I would go about removing / fixing / replacing that outdated Textures file?

Ok, well this bug is fixed in the latest nightly build of Kodi 17. So consider this fixed. The bottom icon row is now highlighted as expected.

1 of the nightlys messed up the highlighting of icons, but it was fixed the next nightly, maybe didn't sync properly not sure.
