Amazon Fire TV or Amazon Fire TV Stick
#1
Hello,

i want to watch Live TV over DVBViewer in my bedroom. Is it possible to use Kodi with a FireTV or FireTvStick and a DVBrecording service? Or is the performance to low for Live TV?
Did anyone test this before?

Thanks

Performance shouldn't be much of an issue if video and audio decoding is done in hardware.

Most problems I've heard about are because of the firetv hardware. e.g. http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=225359. No idea if that has changed.

I am using the Amazon Fire TV for TV (via DVBviewer plug-in) once in a while. EPG does take quite a long time to show up and the channel swiching times aren't that fast - but beside of this it is running pretty well.

Even more reason to maybe implement transcoding support alreadey for Kodi 16? Smile
