Is there a way for kodi to scrap for movies / tv shows which have not been scrapped properly?

No, but you can manually go into the directory where they are located and delete them.

manually re-scan them, then correct the list with the usual (add a date if it's missing, delete bad date, eliminate strange characters, fix spelling, take title crap out) change scrapers or meta-database if needed. Using TheRenamer (wiki) you have got them all first attempt, but it's not too late now.

Thanks for the tool tip PatK. Was hoping for a easier way to isolate the un-scraped content. Be nice if there was a way to sort content or create a playlist for all the files which were not scrapped. That be nice.

There's an add-on called Missing Movies, which does a list... but if they've been scraped wrong.. it doesn't know enough to fix them.. just gets the missing ones, so ya human intervention. TheRenamer is great, drag and drop the whole folder and it figures out the right naming for all in the folder.
