No. Bandwidth simply does not matter for streaming local media. 1080p video tops out around 15Mbps; USB2 can real-world handle over 200Mbps. Consistency matters.

That's not at all accurate, the max for the BD standard is 48Mbps (40Mbps video & 8Mbps audio) and most full 1080p files will be anywhere between anywhere between 30 - 40Mbps.

The Auto HDR ON/OFF doesn't do anything, once I start playing an HDR content on my TV and even when I STOP, the HDR signal on my TV stays on HDR.
Is anyone experiencing this issue?

I'm sure both the Xiaomi Mi Box home page - tech specs section has something info HDR.
Maybe CNET has as well.

Thx for the offer @hdmkv It was tongue in cheek. I will see how the user built Android TV ROM for the Play2 turns out first. I may take up the offer down the track tho.

I suspect that ROM may likely come pretty close to this Mi Box, but with Live Channels and partial PVR working in Android TV OS, plus be far more flexible, for proper Kodi (WeTek Media Player) use.
