It's not true (if they did say that), and the SHIELD is a good example for that. NVIDIA starts rolling out an update, there's issues, they stop the rollout, people get pissed because they don't have the new update, NVIDIA fixes the issues and a week later a new build is getting pushed out. It doesn't take a month to fix bugs.
Just replace where people get mad at whatever part of that they're stuck in...
