Hello how do I setup kodi to see the movies on my pc so I can play them through
kodi under the movie section.

Kodi comes with NO content. You must therefore provide your own.

movies from my pcs hardrive to kodi?

For local media you need to add the folder containing them as a source and then add them to your library via a scraper.
