Just a word of advice for you all from bitter experience.

If, like me, you're into photography and store some photos in camera raw format, then Kodi doesn't like it.

Kodi crashes if .CR2 files are contained within folders. Removing them from the folders from which Kodi pulls photos etc solves the problem.

we do not support those raw images, at all, and I could not reproduce your crash with kodi 17. would be nice if you tell us what version of kodi you use, and share a log / crashdump.
