Slightly off topic I know, but it might be worth adding a confirmation in any addon that change keymaps to double check if the user is about to make system inoperable.

I know someone did a similar thing in my Super Favourites addon.

This happened to me...quick fix - 3 Steps


1. Download Total Commander app onto Firestick from the Amazon App Store

2. Go to the filepath for your device through Total Commander (see below file paths). Mine was android, for example.

3. Delete Keymap folder.





Operative system File path

Android Android/data/org.xbmc.kodi/files/.kodi/userdata/

iOS /private/var/mobile/Library/Preferences/Kodi/userdata/

Linux ~/.kodi/userdata/

Mac /Users/<your_user_name>/Library/Application Support/Kodi/userdata/ (see note)

LibreELEC/OpenELEC /storage/.kodi/userdata/

Windows Start - type %APPDATA%\kodi\userdata - press <Enter>
