You don't have a bunch of you media files still in .zips and .rar's by chance do you ?
This has been known to cause problems on ARM devices like RPi's and AML hardware when used with large media libraries. You must uncompressed them first, this is basic file maintenance.
No I don't. I own two Dlink DNS-323, with 2 HDD in each one.
Here's how I proceed after having installed kodi on a android device (I've tried it on my phone, tablet, Nvidia shield).
When I want to create a new source, I choose SMB service and I have to manually enter the IP address of each NAS, then the name of the shared disk.
Then I add a specific folder to my video sources. For instance, I have a "film #1" directory, with a subfolder per movie named after the movie title.
When I try to update my library, Kodi systematically crashes (android version). SPMC has the same problem.
I use the same method with kodi for windows, and it works fine.
