I'm an IT professional in my day job, but always wanted to contribute to open source projects that I love (like Kodi) in my "spare time". With 2 kids under 4, a wife and a dog, I barely find enough time to exercise, much less any of my million hobbies and interests.
I guess this all got me thinking - what is the life of a normal Kodi dev? How much time a week do you get to dedicate to Kodi? I assume that there is a certain number of hours each week needed or you feel like you're never making progress and always starting over... "now what was I going to do next again?...."
Obviously "Kodi Devs" are a diverse bunch, but I just was curious as a lowest common denominator, what it takes to be a Kodi dev from a time comitment perspective? That being said, from when you start as a kodi dev, how much time did it take until you became "productive" in the code vs. "lost and learning how everything works".
