I created an addon for datpiff the hip hop mix tape hosting web site.

This was something I wanted so I decided to give creating an addon a try, and I think it came out pretty good.

That said, other than resolving any issue I might find during usage I don't know how much more I will be adding to it, but I thought I would share in case anyone was interested.

Looking at the requirements it seems that I wouldn't be able to use the logos of the service, is that correct?

But it wouldn't be a big deal if the logos had to change, otherwise it would only need a few minor changes, so I will give it a shot this weekend.

What device are you using? If you can provide a log file I can look into it more. My first guess is it might be a file path issue, I think I am accessing files incorrectly so I will have to patch the script.

Edit: Also, how did you install it? If you copied the files directly it won't work, and you will need download the archive and use the install from zip file option.

Yes, that's what I did, I am running it on a iMac, like I normally do for testing purposes and then I move to Apple TV 4 or fire tv.

I pushed a fixed for the file path issue last night.

You will want to install it from a zip through the kodi addon setting to make sure the dependencies are installed else you would have to include them manually if they weren't installed by another addon.

Sorry in advance for ignorance, I am a fairly new Kodi user. The only add ons I have are exodus and specto.

I am having a hard time getting this add on. I use Kodi on my firestick (version with alexa) and it is up to date (17.1)

I tried going to Kodi settings > File Manager and adding a new source. I tried adding both https://github.com/michaelfdeberry/plugi...atpiff.git and https://github.com/michaelfdeberry/plugi...o.datpiff/
Then I went to Kodi Add Ons and tried installing from zip file but it was not working.

Can someone please walk me through the steps (or link me elsewhere that does) of how to add this?

You can't use the Github repository to sideload this addon. Download the zip file from Github then upload from PC, Storage location, or whatever location you choose to save the addon. Go to install from zip and locate addon from directory where you saved it and install.

Hey bud, can you check the addon? Doesnt seem to be working anymore. Playback failed. Maybe another change to the website??
