I'm, pretty new on the topic, I read a bunch of threads, but there is still something not clear to me; I run kodi on a intel NUC with kodibuntu, is there soem way to integrate mame on it?
What do I need? I suppose I can get mame with the ubuntu package maanger, but then I'm stuck: how do I launch it from inside kodi?
Can someone please explain to me the missing piece of information?

You need an addon to be able to start program from kodi, here a list of most popular :
- advanced program launcher (development stopped)
- rom collection browser (development stopped)
- advanced emulator launcher

So basically I can install mame, try to run it outside kodi, have some working ROMs and then I'll config AEL to run it from inside kodi.
