Win HEVC 1080p playback "pixellation"
#1
Apologies if this has already been posted. My problem is this: when I play HEVC 1080p video, I get a sort of large square pixellation. See this screenshot below for an example:

Image

It's most evident in two sort of diagonal zig-zags to the left and right of screen. On closer inspection it appears the entire screen is pixellated. This problem only occurs at 1080p - 720p HEVC plays fine in Kodi. Also, I have no problems in VLC, it plays 1080p HEVC fine on the same machine with no issues. I'm running an Intel i3 6100 with no GPU.

Please verify with a nightly version of v17. Try with DXVA enabled/disabled.

Just tried the Aug 12 nightly. Problem still present, tried all methods of video processing.

Did you try with software decoding, means DXVA hw acceleration disabled?

That seems to have fixed it. I just hope video playback will be smooth. Thanks!
