I wouldn't be too worried about it using the same IR commands, your interaction will mainly be via Kodi won't it?

I have 3 Logitech Smart Controls (remotes) with atleast 12 commands and macros programmed. It would take some effort to reprogram them all.

I am going back to W7. In my opinion WMC is the best PVR out there for recording OTA broadcasts. I think that W10 is MS attempt to have a unified platform across all their devices to compete against Apple. Besides that, I don't have a touch screen.
