It doesn't seem like it was broken through a code change within kodi, but rather an update that was pushed to the addon.xml that's automatically updated from a remote source.
The weird thing is that it doesn't effect unpatched kodi, just the version that is patched headless.
It'd be awesome if headless were a feature of kodi, but unfortunately we have to use this method to get it to run this way.

We are quite happy, that we somehow are able to maintain what you call kodi in general... but hey, it's OSS - why don't you maintain it?
First decide what functions / features you expect from a system. Then decide for the hardware. Don't waste your money on crap.

Perhaps to sound more friendly: Team kodi is at the 120% of the limits, we even have a complete platform currently not cared for - just kept alive. We don't have manpower to care for feature, feature, feature. Volunteers that want to step up and take responsibility and do maintenance are rare, really rare.

Yeah, Kodi development is phenomenal, I didn't mean for it to sound like I didn't appreciate it. I was just trying to outline the issue we're experiencing and it's odd nature of being possibly related to the patch.
In no way am I trying to elude to the project being anything but great.

For what it is worth I found my notes and this is the mirror that was causing issues
"http://trumpetti.atm.tut.fi/xbmc/addons/jarvis/addons.xml.gz"
Specifically it was timing out but more importantly the file was corrupt when it was available.

Use pastebin.com or simiar to host logs, do not post them here.
Upload your log above to a suitable site and replace the log with their link if you can please. It makes them much easier to manipulate, and doesn't unnecessarily bloat the forum database.
