Is maybe a win 10 problem. I'll try to install a win 10 when I have time (real life rather busy lately). I'll let you know if win 10 also (doesn't) work with me.

If it is a win 10 problem, and fixable inside Kodi, then I intent to make a bugreport out of this. It should just work.

thnx for your assistance to date.

I thought much the same, that it should just work .

Sorry, not so much time lately, work on my addon stalled for the same reason. Doing some (major) renovation work on the home lately...
Add-on : Bluray iso utils Rewrite of BR_iso_enhancements
Add-on : BR_iso_Enhancements Give theatrical & directors cut from the same bluray iso each their own library entry, use bluray iso's of tv shows as if they are already ripped.

ok I have worked out why the strm files were not working . it appears that Kodi is very picky about capitalization.

bluray://udf%3A%2F%2Fsmb%253A%252F%252FTOWER%252FTV%252Fgot%252Fgots1d1%252Fgots01d1.iso%2F/BDMV/PLAYLIST/00800.mpls  notice that "tower " the media server and "tv" the share are required to be fully capp'd , but folders in the share can be as they are labeled.

if they are not capped , it does not work.
