And it is very annoying, that you have manually set the refresh rate when you switching between different video formats (4k, live tv, 1080p etc.)
So when there would be a real Kodi implementation (for LiveTV and automatic refresh switching as Kodi 17 does for Windows and Raspi) - THEN it would be a daily driver...
Oh dear, another Nail in the Android OS - PVR - Live TV coffin. And this is a Core Kodi feature too.
LibreELEC for example, handles all this (excluding 3D), with ease.
Surely after all this time Automatic Refresh switching works seamlessly ?
yes - both Raspi and Windows machines don't have any problem with automated switching of the refresh rate - the Windows station (HTPC) also no problems after playing 4k videos either.
