I have a Q-Box. It shows the picture fine when I go hdmi directly to my tv but when I try to go through my receiver it will not show a picture at all and flashes pink horizontal lines on the screen. Any ideas what I need to do to get this working?

I had a similar problem with my Raspberry Pi 2 and a Pioneer receiver, it turned out to be a duff HDMI lead.
HTPCs: 2 x Chromecast with Google TV

Quite a common problem with onkyo AVR's for example. But heard it from a lot other manufacturers. If you sort out a faulty HDMI cable, it might be an AV receiver Issue at its HDMI input or output port. Have you tried a different HDMI input port at your AVR for your raspberry?
