Their main website for downloading and streaming is here as YouTube is a bit limited I think at the moment in the resolution it supports.

I played the movie from their main website and sound was a bit flat.

Used your YouTube link and sound was much better.

This was on my laptop, I will try it on my home system via Kodi later.

The BBC iplayer addon configure file has options on what Video Bitrate you want to stream.
I brought it down to a level (5.5mbps), it streams without buffering.

I also played around with the advancesetting.xml file option <readfactor>.
Got some idea from reading this document: https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/1722171?hl=en
