https (SSL) rather http

Is there a reason why the forum doesn't use the more secure ssl protocol? I know that some people might find it a bit pointless for a forum but many people probably use the same sign on details for many different sites simply because it is easier to remember one password than it is for many, personally I use an offline password manager to remember all my passwords leaving me to remember just the one password.

Most people have no idea how unsecure http sites are, and that any information they share on these sites can be read by anyone if they have the know how, things like passwords, private messages, account information, credit card details etc. can be obtained by these people, ultimately it is up to the individual to protect their information but it doesn't hurt for websites to try and help in this by securing their sites with ssl or other means.

It's just a thought, I'm not really expecting any great response I was just wondering what your thoughts were on this?

We are working on doing this. Sadly we hadn't got around to it yet but it will happen soon (no specific date)
