No sound after sleep - Ubuntu 16.04/Kodi Nightly
#1
So this is a new build for me on 16.04, I previously had everything running on 14.04 without issues.

This is based off the VAAPI guide except I'm running lightdm/openbox.

Sound works fine until I suspend the box, then when it wakes from suspend sound does not work until I go into the system settings menu.

I'm not using an .asoundrc file or anything, just setup kodi to use HDMI.

Any help would be appreciated.

Fixate your edid Info via drm kms helper, please. Kodi has no real support for suspend, it's an os thing.
First decide what functions / features you expect from a system. Then decide for the hardware. Don't waste your money on crap.

Thanks. I followed your guide here, but I'm still having the same issue.

This is my line from grub:
Code:
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash video=HDMI-A-1:1360x768@60D drm_kms_helper.edid_firmware=HDMI-A-1:edid/edid.bin"

syslog

kodi log

Any ideas?

Kodi's log looks fine. Kernel bug or something, nothing we can do for you. bugs.freedesktop.org is the place to go.

Ah, thanks. Will file a bug, I just tested LibreELEC nightlies and am seeing the exact same behaviour so you're likely correct about kernel bug.
