Mac user here. Been wondering whether Kodi installer can respect directives like entries in config file(s) telling installer which modules to grab/install? Its very common way of how things are installed on macOS

We don’t use an installer for macOS at all ... just a dmg with container app bundle which is even more common on macos if you ask me.
What exactly is your requirement?
