newbie question

Hi all, just discovered XBMC for Linux after using it on the xbox for a while now.
Can I say what a fantastic job your doing, and thankyou for the greatest piece of software ever written.
I've just installed Ubuntu 7.10 (first time with linux) and managed to install my gfx card drivers and XBMC from the instructions on this page :-

How advanced is this software yet as it just keeps crashing with me after playing videos or even just navigating round. Am I doing something wrong? Having browsed these forums I see some of you seem to be having better success.

My Hardware is as follows:

X2 4200+ Dual Core Athlon
2GB Ram
Radeon x1550 Gfx
Asus M2V mobo

Many thanks in advance

XBMC for Linux (or whatever it's going to be named) is still in its infancy, so don't expect it to run on all systems,
but please, post us your xbmc.log file Wink
and we (the users) will take a look at it, to see if we can help you.

Please also describe the error more precise.
When it occours, what you did before it occured, etc, etc...

If we don't find a solution, the devs might take a look at it, and maybe it will benefit the project, so please, post details Wink
