v17 replaygain doesn't seem to be working
I did some actual testing, with a source file that contains just a 440Hz steady tone. I recorded the output from Kodi on my win 7 computer using the Realtek "Stereo Mix" recording device to Audacity 2.1. I had to use the DirectSound option, not WASAPI. In audacity I use the FFT spectrum analyzer on the recorded audio to compare the output with different replaygain settings. I found that the gain is being applied, but I don't think it is linear (in dB), meaning that replaygain values (in the file metadata) of -3.0, -6.0, and -9.0 didn't produce results that seemed consistent. But they were applied. In all cases the debug log shows the computation is correct (though I don't know the source of the function used for the final computation).

Looking back through some notes this is what I measured:

RPG -1.0 measured 0
RPG -3.0 measured 0
RPG -5.0 measured -6
RPG -7.0 measured -8
