I have been trying to get xbmc to work with my nova-s dvb card/remote, but no such luck. There seems to be no documentation on how to do this.

Any way I can tell whats going on?

Get it working in lirc first then add the maps to /userdata/Lircmap.xml in your xbmc dir

I tried it again last night, no go. I'm probably doing something wrong.

And the remote works fine with myth/mplayer/xine.

Spent some time today and tracked down the problem. It was a bizarre issue that did not involve xbmc
