I don't know if subtitles are working or not with pvr.hts - so much has been broken with PVR addons recently. Maybe another pvr.hts user can confirm?

It's possible subtitles have broken recently, in which case identifying the first build with broken subtitles might prove useful and expedite a fix. You can go back through the builds until you find the first build with broken subtitles.

The subtitles I had working were with the 8 custom build (for haupauge dual tuner 1595) shared in the libreelec forums (discusses patches for haupauge dual tuner).
I just keep trying various settings on your builds and have not been able to get them to work here yet.
I tried going to your first release here, but my tuner card will not work. I have gone to build 727 now right before crazycat drivers I guess. But maybe I just don't have the right configuration.

I got it! Sorry. I should have kept a Journal earlier. While I did turn subtitles on the video settings while tv watching, I did not set the settings in the "settings->Player->Language"

@Milhouse I know you mentioned the Bluetooth thing but my Harmony Elite can't repair with the changed firmware.

I removed my devices/activity and re-created it again, and its working fine

That worked for me... wish on the harmony there was a way to just repair instead of deleting. So annoying!

FYI: starting with build 0811 the additional "CrazyCat" DVB drivers are now an addon, included in the image.

To use these go to Add-ons->My add-ons->Services and enable "DVB drivers for TBS (CrazyCat)", then reboot.

Additional problem: for me it looks that the buffering from the advancedsettings.xml is not working. In the past I could found the cached files in .../.kodi/temp. Now there is nothing. But I have always dropouts when I'm hearing music from my NAS-system.

I've seen this error.
It may happen if you had vis.spectrum (or any oher) installed and configured as default visualization, but at later time the visualization addon was uninstalled.
However after uninstallation the visualization is still kept as default in settings, Kodi tries to load it and obviously fails.
