Does dummy.avi crash for you if played through file interface?
It doesn't crash for me, nor do you see any video.
At 10K you are not going to have video in there - I guess it's some sort of placeholder when the Amazon stream can't be played.
dummy.avi doesn't show any frames with vlc or mplayer either.
