RPi3b.
I have a custom samba.conf in .kodi/.config. /etc/samba/smb.conf does not appear to reflect this.
With #322 the share on the Pi is no longer accessible from Windows.
Revert to #321 and the share is accessible again.
Any ideas?

Have you confirmed samba is enabled in LE Settings addon?

[scrapes egg off face]
Yes, Samba is enabled.
I renamed the custom samba.conf and all works!

The custom parts were there because I wanted to change the workgroup name and 'master browser' settings.
Presumably what I need to do is copy /run/samba/smb.conf to .config and edit it there?
I guess this is what "rebase on /etc/samba/smb.conf" means.
This is on #323 by the way.
Thanks for the help :-}

Edit.
Yep, did that, changed workgroup name and master browser settings, working fine.

Thanks for the update.

With #0323 there's a fix so that the previously static (and potentially stale) *.conf.sample files in /storage/.config now update to latest sample files shipped with the system, so you should be able to copy /storage/.config/samba.conf.sample to /storage/.config/samba.conf and then edit the latter.

Using /run/samba/smb.conf isn't actually a good idea as that is an automatically generated file based on your config file (either /etc/samba/smb.conf, or /storage/.config/samba.conf). Several modifications are made, including the addition of automounted shares, and enabling passwords (if configured).
Texture Cache Maintenance Utility: Preload your texture cache for optimal UI performance. Remotely manage media libraries. Purge unused artwork to free up space. Find missing media. Configurable QA check to highlight metadata issues. Aid in diagnosis of library and cache related problems.

OK, I'll have a look at the sample, and so as you suggest. Thanks for the info.

Build #0322 and "Update to samba 4.6.0, with SMB3 support - if you're using a custom samba.conf please rebase on /etc/samba/smb.conf"

Just a heads up that like agb2 this inclusion initially caught me off guard as well; as I had completely forgotten, that I had created a samba.conf from samba.conf.sample in order to enable quick access from Windows to [Storage] path = /storage

I removed existing samba.conf from .config folder then used new samba.conf.sample to re-create my custom samba.conf and all is working correctly again BlushCool

Thank you for clear warning in build #0322 notes Milhouse

Just updated from #323 to #324. Now the pvr manager can't get the channel list from tvheadend 4.2 service running on 127.0.0.1. It stays at 0%. I also tried both service versions , #323 and #324, just to make sure. According to tvheadend service the client is connected.Guess the latest pvr cleanup needs to be revisited?

I think there'll be a fix for that in tonight's build, PR11898

Hi,

I am finding that the "clean library" function is not working properly.

For example if I have a movie "50.first.dates.2004.mp4" which successfully gets scanned in, then I rename it "50 First Dates (2004).mp4" and rescan it, I get two duplicate entries.

Running "clean library" does not delete the old entry. Running version 334.

Thanks.
