I continued my previous test (https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid...pid2620286) borrowing an generic USB SNES clone pad and it works as expected:

So it is an issue just for gamepads with motion sensors, starting in 0714 build...

any help or clue?
That would come in line with my guess that "motion sensors" and "rest of the ps3 controller" are handled as 2 separate controller starting with #714.

@milhouse/@garbear: what do you think of our theories?
