Kodi 18 - LibreELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi (Kodi 18.0)

I have found some information relative to this issue I previously reported :
https://www.reddit.com/r/linux_gaming/co...d_the_new/

It seems it is a bug related with linux kernel 4.12 updated in 0714, so it should happens also in Generic. They explain several fixes but since LibreELEC is not an standard linux distro, those fixes are something that must be done before compiling... I hope this can help in anyway to @garbear or @milhouse

I have a DualShock 4 Wireless that I can test the shit out of, once I return to working on input. If there's any kernel bugs, I can most likely work around them in userspace. I just need time to test, which I've prioritized below the new renderer and player manager. I'll try to address this in the next month or two if the kernel bug hasn't been ironed out by then.
BTC: 1JtXwJdGdE9YnYgThWBT2StFCU5sEYkbVD (personal), https://kodi.tv/contribute/donate-bitcoin (foundation). Donations in the form of controllers, especially ones that don't work in Kodi, are also appreciated.

The log does show something unhappy ("CRenderManager::WaitForBuffer - timeout waiting for buffer").
I believe the south park add-on is geo-locked and doesn't work from uk so may be tricky to reproduce from here.
Do you see this behaviour with any other add-ons?

Also was this working correctly in an earlier build?

It doesn't happen with other plugins, I'm using netflix, Amazon Video and a couple of other streaming services. South Park worked on older versions of OpenELEC, but that was at least two years ago.

I read that is not a kernel bug but an improvement, and that the issue is sdl not updated since last year...

thanks a lot for your work!

FYI, Kodi is still crashing for me with the threadsafe change. I have three RPi2s with tvheadend on my server. 2 of the RPis didn't crash. The RPi that crashed is the one I was watching Recorded TV, Live TV, and TV Shows (from my library). It typically crashes within a couple hours of when I finish watching. It also crashed again this time about 2 hours later.

Here's the first crashlog (not a debug log as I had logging disabled)

Here's the second crashlog (again, not a debug log)

Arrived home from work, and rpi2 was in never ending "searching for channel icons" but was otherwise responsive, re-started rpi2 and quickly entered back into never ending "searching for channel icons" but otherwise still responsive. Performed a "kill -ABRT $(pidof kodi.bin)" via ssh

kodi crashlog

Then after kodi restart and a re-boot of rpi2 and switching on debug, again entered "searching for channel icons" loop, tried to enter TV options to view channels or guide (cant remember which and kodi seemed to lock up) Performed another "kill -ABRT $(pidof kodi.bin)"

kodi crashlog

I doubt that these crashes are related to or even targeted by my pvr database thread safety fix.

Build #1005 - updated to this but had to revert.
Kodi starts in Master User with Estuary [v1 'cos I can't stand v2].
All the labels on the menus are blank, which makes it unusable.
