v18 LibreELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi (Kodi 18.0)
sounds good, thanks

perhaps "New 4.14.10 kernel" or too much new years eve party ? Wink

I downgraded from 1231 to 1230 (not my preferred method) and its ok again.
This seems to be an issue with the XBMC LCDproc addon. I could reproduce that here both with LibreELEC builds and with the current 20180206 kodi windows testbuild.

When the screensaver kicks in the addon just sends the big digits "00:00" to LCDd and after that does nothing:
Code:
widget_set xbmc lineBigDigit1 1 0
widget_set xbmc lineBigDigit2 4 0
widget_set xbmc lineBigDigit3 7 10
widget_set xbmc lineBigDigit4 8 0
widget_set xbmc lineBigDigit5 11 0
widget_set xbmc lineBigDigit6 0 0
widget_set xbmc lineBigDigit7 0 0

With build 1230 the addon sent the time to LCDd and then updated it every second:

widget_set xbmc lineBigDigit3 7 10

It would be best if you contact the XBMC LCDproc addon author, maybe he needs to adapt his addon to some kodi change.

That is good news indeed, thank you very much! Could you provide some detail about these fixes?

Latest widevine update changed the YUV format produced from 3 separate planes to 2 planes (with U and V in a side-by-side format).
This format wasn't something the Pi firmware supported so some plumbing was needed to get support this.

After  #0208 update, my librelec immediatelly freezes just after (or sometimes during) the boot. I cannot even turn on logging.

And #0207 is OK? What is your hardware - RPi Zero, RPi 1, RPi2, RPi3?

Can you post your config.txt and cmdline.txt?

If you are overclocked can you test without.

It's RPi3. No overclocking. Between #0120 and #0208 the device encountered random freezes (after cca 15 minutes of playback). #0206 didn't freeze for me. #0207 freezes everytime during (or just after) the boot.

Can you temporarily add "arm_freq=600" to config.txt and confirm if boot succeeds?
There was a firmware bug that caused issues with users on dodgy power supplies that hopefully will be fixed in tonight's build.

Thanks, my RPi3 boots fine again. Libretro compatibility still incompatible Smile

In general it's recommended for the Pi3 to use the officially PSU which comes with 5.1-5.2V and a cable which can supply 2.5A. Because of a weak point in the design of the power input of the Pi3 it loose some voltages itself. Some more some less.
If you use an alternate PSU, be sure it has good quality including the USB cable. It should supply stable 5V and the cable should be strong enough and not to long (as shorter as better and AWG24 is fine).
