v18 LibreELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi (Kodi 18.0)
Hi smp1, thanks for your support

have downloaded your version of LE (a modicum of hope to resolve my problem)

In this build i noticed also little dropouts with playing 24bit dts wave files (audio multichannel)
Áfter playing one song my pi3 reboot - on milhouse build this 24bit audios works fine.

...only 32bit files don't work on the milhouse builds ( reboot )

BD50 files (video) with DTS HD mastered 7.1 (24bit) sound plays very good! Perfect.

I do not understand, for wich reason it is not possible to play some laughable Audio CD. :-)

That's the snag.

Thanks

Have you been able to identify the first build with this issue?
Texture Cache Maintenance Utility: Preload your texture cache for optimal UI performance. Remotely manage media libraries. Purge unused artwork to free up space. Find missing media. Configurable QA check to highlight metadata issues. Aid in diagnosis of library and cache related problems.
Hello Milhouse,

no, because I've been testing these files for several days. (my new hobby - lol)
I have played in the past only 24bit files - without probs.

On PC via VLCmediaPlayer I have no problem playing a complete album (32bit) via my Yamaha Recieiver (SPDIF / Asus soundcard) ... only with raspberry.

Do not worry - if that makes too much work for you - no problem - I can live with it.
but I think that's interesting, is not it? ;-)

thank you very much

edit1:

here is a testfile:  dts34bit44.1khzCD

after playing this file all my pi's reboots (3 pices)

edit2:
the same fault is seeing with 8.2.3 and Krypton 17.6 (tested)
Following up on the pause after comskip issue. The first build where it occurs is #0202.

And I don't see any pauses in a Windows 64-bit build.

I see those ActiveAE errors since I started to use Milhouse builds (instead of my own builds created with Milhouse scripts, with downgraded kernel).
Try my build. It is identical to a current Milhouse build - the only difference is that I used linux kernel 4.9.80. I played your sample video with no errors.
 Thanks, Now Trying.

Hi,
I watched a couple of recordings, and an mp4 file, and didnt get a single ActiveAE error, normally id have a few, so im guessing its a kernel issue.
Thanks for helping, at least i know its not hardware related, hopefully it can be fixed at some point, OMX is working OK, so for the time being i'll use that.

Kind Regards

Bucky..
Although the softirq issue that was introduced in kernel 4.9 was solved - there has been a further regression starting with kernel 4.10. Somebody should git bisect the kernel...again.
When using picture slide show that includes videos, I see the video thumbnail and ear the video in background, for the video slides. When video finishes it properly moves to the next slide. I would expect to see the video and not the thumbnail of the video.

This is an old issue still present in Kodi 17 https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid...pid2667390 and now fixed for Kodi 18 https://github.com/xbmc/xbmc/pull/13031 but doesn't seem to work on Pi3 and/or is not available on the build I'm using LibreELEC-RPi2.arm-9.0-Milhouse-20180213230411-#0213-g3e167d2.tar.

Hello milhouse, here some news about dts ...

Now i have a hifiberry Digi+ installed in my rpi3.
in conf.txt = dtoverlay=hifiberry-digi, no prob

little question:

Why the entry in System / Audiodevice -> "snd_rpi_hifiberry_digi_S/PDIF" is after a new start replaced with "HDMI"?
Hifiberry works anyway, the relevant entry is Digi-Device for passtrough "snd_rpi_hifiberry_digi_S/PDIF" .
defective appearance? ;-)

well, this HAT works fine, no delay on starting a song and a very, very good sound, clear as crystal.
...but with this solution i am still not able to listen 32bit dts files.

btw, why is on listen this audio files the frames per second  higher (57) as on a DVD-video with 8.5 fps?

regards
Harald

Is 1080p live TV too much for my pi3?

While watching ServusTV or BBC the picture is full of lags and errors. Recording works fine. Happens since i use this build a long time ago.

720p works fine.

Can you upload a sample recording?
