v18 LibreELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi (Kodi 18.0)
(2018-03-24, 17:13)frank74 Wrote: Hi Milhouse,

second, i using tvheadend (master train/last version) and with tvheadend i have audio offset (no stuttering etc). the offset starts from the beginning (in the fist minute its not to big that this can be seen) but the offset becomes more and more... in 10min its about 1-2seconds. The codec is mpeg2 and the video-decoder ff-mpeg2video-mmal (SW) because i've got a new raspberry pi 3b+ and have no mpeg license at the moment.
I don't know since when this problem exists because I'm starting with the alpha and I'm not able to test it in the next weeks.
Here are an image from the player-info:

Thanks for your great work Smile

About the problem i test it a little bit and i find out that the offfset will not increase... after a few seconds/1min i have a constant offset of about 1second.
This can be fixed with make changes on the audio offset (-1sec)

I'm looking for 7.1 HDMI channel output from 5.1 source by repeating Surround Left to Rear Left in software configuration. Perfect solution would be if the process was automatic and allow true 7.1 PCM decoding or jump side and rear channels with 5.1 source.
Quite a special setup. My knowledge of the audio engine is limited, so I'm not entirely sure if it will work, but you could give the following setup a try:
- set speakers to 7.1 in Kodi
- enable stereo upmixing
- disable all passthrough settings

If this doesn't work, then your best bet would be ADSP, which unfortunately got removed from core again due to design flaws in the implementation. The replacement ADSP API is still in the works and likely won't be ready for v18 final. But with ADSP you would be able to apply channel upmixing/duplication AFAIK.
I just tested it with sample demo files for 5.1 and 7.1. "Stereo upmixing" with speakers set for 7.1 does not appear to have any effect. Surround left and surround right play from side middle speakers and nothing from the back speakers Sad
7.1 plays correct from all channels. I played with ADSP in the past but couldn't get this to work right.
I'm getting random stutter like a skipped frame on Pi3 B+ after about an hour of watching 3D MVC movie. It is quite frequent probably once in 5 to 10 seconds. CPU temperature was showing 60 to 62 deg. C. All settings default. Didn't see this on Pi3 B. I'm going to set the turbo on and recheck if this helps. Cooling is not the best in this setup. I have small aluminium heat sink but the top is covered with HIFI DiGi+ board. Pi3 B didn't have this issue in the same box with DiGi board and no turbo.

Sorry, but I'm out of options then. It's very likely super easy to implement, but it's an edge case that likely doesn't justify a setting/hack for it. So I fear you have to wait on ADSP to return.

do you get AC3 on your AVR with PLL adjustment enabled or 5.1 PCM? As said, your AVR should also show 5.1 PCM for liveTV without it (ofc only if the source is 5.1 and not just stereo AC3).
Hi, I still get some issue when playing an hevc 10bit video.
At first it will play well, but with other files o stopping and recovering it show a lot of artifacts, like corrupted file.
Before I post logs and waste anyone's time I have a question, I have searched both the forum and the bugtracker without finding this specific issue.

I am running tvheadend on my server (ATSC) and with Kodi I can watch live TV without any issue but when I try to watch a recording it stutters and buffers constantly, it's not specific to the Pi as it's exactly the same on my Android TV. Is this a known issue? Kodi 17 doesn't exhibit this issue far as I can remember.

*edit*
Tested Kodi 17 on same Pi 3 and it plays the recordings without issue.

*edit2*
This is a Kodi issue and not a LE issue so disregard, I will post in the appropriate place.
I've pulled the RPi2 #0325 build as although it crashes which results in safe mode (which the automated testing took to mean a "good" startup - bah). Currently investigating the cause (and will fix the automated testing).

 Everything's fine in my case.
MP3 works normally
@millhouse

if done some checks and also done a new setup of librelelec from scratch but same prob:

Have you any idea ? Audiostreams (mp3) from addons like radio are broken, too.
I've re-instated #0325 for RPi2 - Kodi really doesn't cope very well with zero-byte profiles.xml, fortunately I had a recent backup of the file. No idea how it came to be zero-byte though, but probably unrelated to the build.

Can you test with LibreELEC 8.2.4, does that work? Also try testing an older version of these builds to see if this is a new or old issue. Can you provide a sample mp3? Does a debug log include additional information?

Is LibreElec (Build #0324) unable to handle accents in filenames or could the problem be with Hanewin NFS server?

Episode 2 in Narcos S1 is titled "The Sword of Simón Bolívar" but with the filename "Narcos 1x02 - The Sword of Simón Bolívar.mp4" it wasn't recognised when updating the library. I had to remove the two accents and rename it to "Narcos 1x02 - The Sword of Simon Bolivar.mp4" and now it's recognised and is listed with the accents in the title.

I'd put money on Hanewin.
