v18 -  LibreELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi (Kodi 18.0)
(2018-04-26, 11:11)brunis Wrote: latest build is a total bust on Pi1 .. it's running, but home screen never appears..

i'd send debug logs, but i can't even ssh into it..   it responds though and samba shares are browsable.

You can access your logs via the Logfiles Samba share - view the contents of the latest zip file or upload it somewhere (Googledrive, Dropbox etc.) and paste the link.

Builds #0425 and #0426 are booting into Kodi on my RPi1 and there were 10 other RPi1 downloads of #0425 so it's doesn't look like a common issue but maybe something specific to your setup - possibly an addon, or even failing SD card - so please check and upload logs if necessary.
Texture Cache Maintenance Utility: Preload your texture cache for optimal UI performance. Remotely manage media libraries. Purge unused artwork to free up space. Find missing media. Configurable QA check to highlight metadata issues. Aid in diagnosis of library and cache related problems.

Is it safe to apply updates after the python work? I don’t use a lot of adding so wanted to ensure a minimal Kodi works fine.
HTPC(s): All running LibreELEC

  • RPI2 x2

I have no idea how long this has been going on but I can't install any addons from https://mirrors.kodi.tv:

Code:

06:23:57.239 T:1753703296   ERROR: CCurlFile::FillBuffer - Failed: Peer certificate cannot be authenticated with given CA certificates(60)
06:23:57.239 T:1753703296   ERROR: CCurlFile::Open failed with code 0 for https://mirrors.kodi.tv/addons/leia/cont...ct-limit=0
06:23:57.239 T:1753703296   ERROR: Could not fetch addon location and hash from https://mirrors.kodi.tv/addons/leia/cont...-1.0.0.zip
06:23:57.239 T:1753703296   ERROR: CAddonInstallJob[context.show.runtime]: failed to resolve addon install source path

I did some research. https://mirrors.kodi.tv uses a Let's Encrypt SSL certificate. I was able to find two certificate stores on my LibreELEC Pi:

Code:

/etc/ssl/cert.pem
/usr/share/kodi/system/certs/cacert.pem

Neither of them contains the necessary "Let’s Encrypt Authority X3" intermediate CA. Only Let's Encrpts Root CA (ISRG Root X1) is available.

Check if the date is set correctly (i.e. you got the correct date / time via NTP).

The default system date/time on bootup is set by systemd to systemd's release date which is Jan 28 with systemd 237 and that's outside of the SSL cert validity period of April 26-July 25. If your system date/time is outside of that period cert validation will fail.

so long,

Hias

Since it is working now and a curl to https://valid-isrgrootx1.letsencrypt.org on the command line also works I can only assume that indeed my system date was wrong. Should have checked that at first. Sorry for bothering everybody,

Has anyone else noticed a massive performance drop since 0422? Tried every build to no avail. Back to 0421 which works great for me. Everything works for me per say, just very unresponsive at times since 0422 onwards. On a Rbpi3.

Can you be more specific, sluggish in terms of responding to user input, running add-ons (which add-ons), or during video playback? What method are you using to control Kodi - IR remote, keyboard or mouse? Uploading your dmesg to a pastebin site would be helpful. Are you testing with stock Estuary?

CodecInfo overlay does not seem to be working anymore.

You mean this one, PlayerProcessInfo?

Image

It seems to be working for me with #0427 ("o" on keyboard, PlayerProcessInfo mapped to IR button, or kodi-send --action=PlayerProcessInfo).

PlayerDebug is also working:

How are you enabling PlayerProcessInfo? When did it stop working for you?

Sorry, it is PlayerDebug. I just connected a usb keyboard and it works via ctrl-shift-o. It stopped working via my remote (I will probably have to remap the button).

Upd: sorted by modifying the key id in gen.xml. It changed for some reason in one of the latest builds.

User inputs via the iPhone Kodi app “remote” and running Estuary. However, my installation is pretty old so I’m going to start fresh, install the newest nightly and will report back if it persists.

1. When playing music from the FILE menu, I can not see the FANART. (When playing from the media library, the fanart is visible). In the official firmware this works.
2. Profiles are unstable, sometimes when the profile is switched, the system reboots. When choosing a profile, the response of the system is 10-15 seconds,  in the official version the response of the system instantly.

P13b.I have observed that in builds after #421 switching profiles always crashes LE.
At a guess this is related to the 'reuse python thread' changes.
I have reverted to #421.
