Yes. Make sure you've enabled "Enable Full HD HDMI modes for stereoscopic 3D" and "Adjust display refresh rate to match video".
Despite having done both of these things, 3D .mkv files aren't playing in 3D on my RPi running LibreELEC 8.90.003 (Leia alpha 3) - is that a version where you'd expect this to be working, or is it only enabled in more recent nightly builds? (Is there something else I should check?)

Leia build #0809 has fixed my problem with strm file links not playing in Favourites. Hurray!

Thanks Milhouse, and all of the Devs involved. Smile. Great job.

LibreELEC 8.90.003 doesn't include any RPi specific Kodi optimisation patches at the request of Team Kodi - the primary testing focus for 8.90.003 is the OS, and not so much the apps such as Kodi. We hope to have found a workable solution by the time Kodi Beta 1 (8.95.001) is released, so that the end user experience is broadly similar to these test builds which DO include the full suite of RPi Kodi optimisations.

I put test build 0809 on there, and 3D is now working again. Thanks. Smile

Unrelated question: does using http://milhouse.libreelec.tv/builds/master/RPi2 as a LibreELEC custom update channel (and running an update from inside LE) produce a result that is in any way different from manually copying a build .tar file into the Update share?

No, they're the same source, so the result will be identical.

I have been having the problem where I think the ram usage of kodi increases until kodi starts to lag and then eventually freeze to the point where I have to pull the power to reset. I think it started back with kodi 17. It took about 3 to 4 days until it froze so I just set it to restart every two days but now it is to the point that it last about a day but sometimes just 12 hours depending on how many videos are played. I have about 37000 episodes from about 1000 tv shows and about 2000 movies if that has anything to do with it.  I have also tried running libreelec on a pc with 4gb of ram about 6 months ago and that still eventually locked up when the free ram got low after about 2 weeks. This log is from a pi 3 with a fresh install  of kodi 18 build #0808 and the library scanned in from scratch. I also ran bcmstat to record ram usage.

The memory consumption (in the final "Accum" "Mem kB" column) looks fairly stable, peaking at about 216MB allocated from the start of monitoring (which may not all be allocated to kodi.bin, btw - it's for the whole system). From the log you posted it doesn't look like there is a problem.

If you leave bcmstat.sh running longer, does it show the figure in the final column progressively increasing (in a negative sense) over time? Any increase should be matched by a reduction of the kB figure in the "Memory Free/Used" column.

If the system is running out of memory then eventually the process that has consumed the most memory is usually killed by the out of memory process killer, and this is recorded in the system log (journalctl -a).

If you click view the full file on the logs it shows the last column maxing out at -592,988. It was at this point the kodi froze and you could not even ssh into the pi and I had to pull the power to reset.

Yes, missed that - will have another look later.

Hi Milhouse,
What version of bash is used in Leia? The reason I ask is because I run a few bash scripts to get links from the internet, but I'm getting a segfault when I run one to bring in Weather Nation. It runs fine in Krypton (no segfault).

Has bash been upgraded past version 2.7?

Thanks.

Regards,
Bob
