v18 LibreELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi (Kodi 18.0)

If you're asking me, then the answer is No, Auto is for full release build alerts only, not betas or alpha channels you add.

Thanks for the answer! Back to 'manual' it is!

Looks like broken youtube addon for me? Any advice to recover my kodi from continously crashing?
thanks

edit: it was the zattoo pvr.
I moved /storage/.kodi/userdata/addon_data/pvr.zattoo to some backup location and the crashing stopped. Could it be some EPG fetching service module?

Does #0909 crash? I think something similar might have happened before, you might want to report it to the zattoo developer on github.

Will this latest release allow me to update to Kodi 18, since I'm not home and need a Tar file to update. ?? I can't upgrade using an image file as I'm away right now
After updating to the latest version from the official 8.2.5 my sdcard dev changed from mmcblk0 to mmcblk1, stopping the boot at "unable to boot..."
i changed the names in cmdline.txt and the reboot worked.
but i'm at a loss why the number changed.

Can you boot "the latest version" and upload your kodi log from within the LibreELEC Settings, and paste the link? The SD card boot device should not be changing.

Unfortunately tvheadend has spammed the crap out of the system log so that it no longer includes anything useful - can you reboot and then once the system has booted run the following commands and paste the links:
text:

dmesg | pastebinit
journalctl -a | pastebinit
cat /flash/cmdline.txt | pastebinit
mount | pastebinit
Thanks.

OK the switch to /dev/mmcblk1 is caused by your use of the "old" mmc driver.

In /flash/config.txt, try replacing:
text:

dtoverlay=mmc,overclock_50=63
with
text:

dtoverlay=sdtweak,overclock_50=63

The above change will use the sdhost driver and switch your SD card back to /dev/mmcblk0, so update your /flash/cmdline.txt to match.

yes, that worked, thanks
Hi, I have collected some information and logs for the issue with steam controller not working on your test builds even though the driver is now part of 4.18 kernel's usbhid.

I have disabled libreelec's Steam controller module and rebooted kodi. Steam controller's LED is on, in all logs steam controller is detected. However the kodi doesn't react in any way to buttons, stick or pads on my steam controller. Not in interface, nor in controller setup.

This is dmesg
This is kodi log
This is lsmod

This is result of lsusb. 28de:1142  is steam controller.
Code:
Bus 001 Device 005: ID 062a:4101 MosArt Semiconductor Corp. Wireless Keyboard/Mouse
Bus 001 Device 004: ID 28de:1142
Bus 001 Device 003: ID 0424:ec00 Standard Microsystems Corp. SMSC9512/9514 Fast Ethernet Adapter
Bus 001 Device 002: ID 0424:9514 Standard Microsystems Corp. SMC9514 Hub
Bus 001 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub

When trying to manually restart usbhid, libreelec complains that usbhid is already a built-in module.

The reason why inbuilt module is much better solution than libreelec addon based on ynsta's driver for steam-controller is support for multiple controllers. That's why I am looking for solution.

@garbear This may be somehow related to gamepads setup tool as well.
