v18 LibreELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi (Kodi 18.0)
Good Morning All,

Ive noticed a bug with pvr timers that was introduced with #0921.
when on the tv guide I press record on a program, and it takes about 30-45 seconds for the little timer clock to appear against the program, it also maxes out the cpu for these 45 seconds.
Also If  I press record again before the timer clock has appeared on the guide, you end up with multiple recordings of the same program, this problem doesnt exist with #0920, timers appear instantly.... this bug is also present in windows version of kodi..

Another bug is noticed is you cannot skip forward or backwards when watching a programme thats currently recording.
Normally Id start recording a programme that has commercials and then start watching after its been recording for 15 mins, so i can skip forward the commericials, now you cant use the skip steps until the recording has finished....

My setup is a pi3+, clean install, mediaportal pvr client, no external devices plugged in.
ive attached a log...

https://drive.google.com/open?id=1njuWy-...zplqpuVk5R

Kindest Regards

Bucky

Yes, your access to the internet is not working, so the RPi isn't able to obtain the current date/time (systemd defaults to the date it was released, which for systemd-239 is 22 Jun 2018). All your problems seem to be network related. Are you using a wired or wifi connection? I would suggest trying a different SD card and starting with a clean installation. It's entirely possible your SD card has died and is no longer saving configuration settings.
Seems like it had something to do with my config. In my config I disabled the internal wifi and bluetooth of my Pi3B+. Instead I use a 5G dongle. This worked until about a week or so ago, but after that I started getting problems (black screens, not booting, no network connection)

I replaced my config file with a default one and now everything is working again.

I added these lines to my config.

#Disable internal Wifi & Bluetooth
dtoverlay=pi3-disable-wifi
dtoverlay=pi3-disable-bt

Does it resume working if you go back to an older build (from about a week or so ago), or is this environmental (no longer works even with an older build, maybe a new noisy neighbour, router needs a reboot etc.)? If it resumes working with an older build, which is the last working build? Are there any errors in dmesg relating to your 5G dongle with latest builds?
Texture Cache Maintenance Utility: Preload your texture cache for optimal UI performance. Remotely manage media libraries. Purge unused artwork to free up space. Find missing media. Configurable QA check to highlight metadata issues. Aid in diagnosis of library and cache related problems.

Disabling mmal makes it work. Also no issues when starting the movie from "Select playback item" instead of the on-disc menu.

Actually, sample #2 also work fine when "Adjust display refresh rate" is disabled. Both samples suffer from the same issue - the blank screen occur after the refresh rate is changed.
@popcornmix
I tested this on more devices (including a smartphone). Raspberry Pi is the only device that gives me issues with some DVD/BD menus.
The issue is triggered by a refresh rate change ("Adjust display refresh rate" must be enabled). For example, those BDs that include 50Hz menus + 23.976Hz main movie (e.g. Sample 2) are affected.
Hi,

since I am using Milhouse builds on my Pi, I always have the issue, that I cannot use DVD menus. Navigation using my remote or keyboard only works blind, i.e. the cursor doesn't move. Sometimes, not reproducable, there is even no cursor rendered. The only way to safely navigate in DVD menus is via mouse control.

I am not sure, if this is a general problem of Kodi or of Milhouse builds.

Do you need further information?

Thanks, especially for your work with providing the builds
i haven't see anyone mentioning it on the forum,
i am the only one getting black screen from games using libretro?
but when i bring up the menu the game is rendered fine in the background.

There will be an interruption to service for a week or so as I'm having some redecorating done and need to take equipment offline.

I may possibly be able to produce builds for the next few days - the build server is now running headless in a temporary location so it should at least be able to churn out the scheduled nightly builds. I still don't have anything other than phone access, so can't really investigate issues, or look at logs.
