#0318 have a mismatch on the system.md5 according to the installer and will not work.

Are you manually downloading the tar, or using the Settings addon to update?

The #0318 tar file on the server is correct - I just downloaded it, verified the sha256 checksum, extracted the contents, verified the md5 checksums. This is likely to be a corrupted download, or hardware issue (memory error? Try running memtest86+ or similar).

You can use the sha256 checksum from the release post to verify the tar download if downloading manually.

Note that every new tar file is automatically tested by being deployed to a real device which is upgraded, and the upgraded device is then verified to ensure the upgrade succeeded and that Kodi has started successfully. Then and only then the new tar file is uploaded to the server along with a checksum to ensure whatever is uploaded is received correctly. I'm not saying this process is foolproof (and delayed Kodi crash bugs won't be detected), but there are some checks along the way to ensure as much as possible that a corrupt tar or a tar that results in a non-booting system, or Kodi not starting, is not uploaded.

I have always used the libre elec dev update to update.. Don't know how to update your builds using the settings addon Smile

Will try to manually download it and see if it will be accepted on reboot Smile

Edit: Manual download worked just fine.
Any idea when this will enter beta?  Or is it stable enough to put onto my BeeBox now?

Probably another 2 months, it all depends on Kodi.

All of these builds are my daily driver. Sometimes there's an annoying regression but on the whole they're quite usable. Obviously they're still bleeding edge test builds, so if your objective is stability over features then these are not the builds you are looking for.

Mostly I want to try out 4K, which my Braswell Beebox doesn't play with LibreElec 8.2.4 and Kodi 17.  It starts but then Kodi (not linux) restarts.

It's up to you, but you can try LE9 now or you can find out in 2-3 months. Although your Braswell hardware is pretty low-spec and may only be capable of playing 4K@30. If you do try LE9 and it also crashes then post a link to your LE9 crashlog.

Hi guys,
Quote:Build Highlights:
  1. VAAPI support (HEVC, 10-bit etc.) for recent AMD GPUs
would be nice if you give this one a big round of testing, basically we now use a more modern code path for VAAPI on drivers that support it, which enables us for the first time to decode with VAAPI on mesa/radeon.
So for AMD, this means that you can now use VAAPI instead of VDPAU and it should support most of the things VDPAU did plus HEVC10 hardware decoding if your hardware is capable (since UVD 6, so about 3rd gen GCN). Generally speaking, you should no longer use VDPAU on AMD hardware.

It also affects intel GPUs, except there everything should work as before. NVIDIA is not affected since the binary drivers do not support VAAPI.
Hello, I'm new here and have read so far. My english is not good.
Have a question. I use 2 Hauppauge usb-sticks. It works already, but when should I be pursued?
I work with DVB-C in the cable at Vodafone.

I'm back on build 228 and everything is fine again.

Great, but:

Code:
# vainfo
libva info: VA-API version 1.1.0
libva info: va_getDriverName() returns 0
libva info: Trying to open /usr/lib/dri/radeonsi_drv_video.so
libva info: va_openDriver() returns -1
vaInitialize failed with error code -1 (unknown libva error),exit

Looks like #2403 is not included completely.

Eugh.... no, #2403 isn't included at all ('cos nobody told me it was needed!) Smile

Will include it tonight...

You'll need to post a description of the problem in English, without indecipherable font tags, plus a debug log (wiki).
